The pool re-opened on Friday and we’ve made a visit every day since. Megan loves the water, even getting dunked. Lauren took a few days getting her sea legs back (she had developed a phobia about getting her face wet), but now she’s making progress toward becoming a terrific swimmer. Today her favorite game was fetching some dive rings at the bottom of the pool. With a big shove from dad she makes it to the bottom (around 4.5 feet) then grabs the ring, pushes off, and kicks her way back up (mostly).

Lauren’s class (The Busy Bees) and another class (The Lucky Ducks) sang “The Wheels on the Bus” at the preschool graduation on Thursday. Here’s a little snipit:

Megan’s really coming along with the walking. She can walk about 10 steps if she really tries, but mostly its two or three at a time. She has started trying to walk on her own when she’s playing by herself. Here’s a video of her walking:

Lauren had her ballet recital on Tuesday. It was very cute. She really liked having her hair done up special and wearing the crown and special clothes. Here are some videos of the recital too!

Nana was here this week for a quick visit. She managed to faux paint the living room in one day. Not sure if the picture does it justice, but it really looks terrific! Thanks for working so hard, Nana! Nana left this morning (Friday) to go to Tim Fitzgerald’s High School Graduation. Good luck, Tim! You’ll need it at the USNA!
